CHIEF UTILITY PLANT OPERATOR
The Town of Berryville, Virginia is seeking applicants for the position of Chief Utility Plant Operator for the Town’s Water and Wastewater facilities. This position works with and reports directly to the Director of Utilities.  Successful applicants must have Virginia Class II or higher water and/or wastewater licenses, five years of supervisory experience at a water/wastewater facility, an understanding of the operational control and trouble shooting of water/wastewater facilities, the ability to keep records and complete reports for DEQ and VDH, the ability to perform basic maintenance procedures, and a knowledge of the occupational hazards associated with water utility work.  MBR experience is a plus.  Applicants who have a Virginia Class II or higher license in only water or wastewater and have the ability to obtain the licensure they lack within five years of hire will be considered.  To apply, submit a cover letter, resume, completed Town of Berryville application and current Department of Motor Vehicles driving record to Desi Moreland, Town of Berryville, 101 Chalmers Court, Suite A, Berryville, VA 22611.
