UTILITIES OPERATOR
The Town of Luray is accepting applications for the position of Utilities Operator for the Utilities Department. WATER QUALITY OPERATOR
The City of Buena Vista is accepting applications for the position of “Water Quality Operator”. This position works under supervision and includes operating the wastewater plant and equipment used to collect, treat, and dispose of domestic and industrial sewage efficiently in accordance with regulatory requirements and monitoring operations to determine treatment plant efficiency and quality. Requires lifting, performing routine semi-skilled and technical work. Position requires on-call, weekends and holiday work as needed. A high school diploma or equivalent is required. A Class III or II Wastewater license issued by the state of Virginia is desired. A valid VA driver’s license is required. Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Excel/Word is desired. Individual hired is required to obtain a Class II license within 6 months of obtaining required hours of experience to sit for Class II exam. Salary DOQ. WATER/WASTEWATER LICENSED OPERATOR
The Town of Elkton is currently accepting applications for the position of Water/Wastewater Licensed Operator at the Elkton Wastewater Treatment Plant. This is a full time position with a starting salary dependent upon applicant’s qualifications and experience. In addition, the Town of Elkton offers a comprehensive benefits package to full time employees. This individual works under the supervision of the Director of Public Works and provides oversight to staff operating and maintaining the wastewater treatment facilities as well as the Town water supply. Responsibilities include supervising wastewater plant functions through the implementation of policies and procedures to efficiently operate the wastewater treatment plant and potable water system. The position requires performing routine semi-skilled and technical work. The employee will be required to work a 12 hour rotating schedule with necessary overtime coverage, be on-call and work weekends and holidays as needed.

Applicant must possess a high school diploma or equivalent, minimum Class III Wastewater and Class IV Water license with at least two years of licensed operating experience. Must possess a valid VA driver’s license and be computer literate with the ability to use Microsoft Office Excel and Word programs. Must also be physically capable of climbing/descending ladders, lifting a minimum of 50 pounds of weight, able to work in confined spaces and perform duties while wearing a self-contained breathing apparatus.

TREATMENT PLANT OPERATOR
The Town of Berryville is seeking applicants to join our Operations Team for the Town’s Water and Wastewater facilities. Licensed professionals are preferred but training can be provided for the right candidate. Successful applicants must have a High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED), the ability to keep records and make reports, to perform basic maintenance procedures, and have a general knowledge of the occupational hazards associated with water utility work. A basic math skills test will be part of the interview process.

Some duties will include equipment cleaning, maintenance, and repair, completion of equipment logs, computer data entry, laboratory testing, process control adjustments, and property maintenance.  An unlicensed candidate will be required to obtain the State of Virginia Class IV water and wastewater licenses within fourteen months of employment. Additional licensing will be required beyond the class IV level for all candidates. Salary is commensurate with experience.

WATER & WASTEWATER TREATMENT FACILITY OPERATOR
Inboden Environmental Services, Inc. has a position open for a Water & Wastewater Treatment Operator in the Leesburg/Northern Virginia area. This position could be full-time or part-time depending on the individual. Individual will operate water and wastewater treatment facilities in the Leesburg/Northern Virginia area daily; performing on-site testing, troubleshooting, preventative maintenance and making repairs when needed.
